Masai Mara National Reserve – Big cat country.

One of Africa’s most iconic reserves, the Masai Mara is famous for its large populations of lions, leopards and cheetahs. Each year, the Great Migration sees 1 million wildebeest, zebras and gazelles crossing its plains—a spectacle listed among Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. Its ecosystems—savannah, riverine forest and acacia woodland—are home to 450 bird species and a wide array of wildlife.

Nairobi National Park – The “Big 4” at the city’s edge

Just outside the city skyline, Nairobi NP is the only urban national park in the world. It’s home to lions, buffaloes, leopards and rhinos—four of the “Big 5″—and Kenya’s largest rhino sanctuary. The park also features diverse landscapes and hosts over 500 bird species.

Amboseli National Park – Land of Elephants

Amboseli is renowned for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro (Tansania). The park is home to zebras, lions, cheetahs, jackals, buffaloes and wildebeest. It’s a classic example of predator-prey interaction set against one of Africa’s most photogenic backdrops.

Lake Nakuru National Park – Rhino haven

Lake Nakuru NP is a haven for endangered black and white rhinos and supports a wide range of wildlife, including 50 mammal species—antelopes, monkeys, buffaloes, giraffes—and over 450 bird species. At certain times of the year, millions of flamingos can be seen around the lake.
